The Winter 2017 edition of the New NY Bridge magazine is out and it showcases the project's many outstanding achievements during the past year and looks ahead to upcoming construction.
Following the completion of the iconic towers, the project's main span team is still hard at work building the first cable-stayed crossing on the Hudson River.
While many local residents were shoveling their driveways following the recent snowfall, Tappan Zee Constructors (TZC) was faced with clearing a much larger path - the 3.1-mile project site.
Since the launch of permanent construction operations in October 2013, more than 6,300 people have contributed to the project, totaling more than 8 million work hours. The remarkable work of these men and women has led to a new stunning structure on the Hudson River, with the process captured by the project's many construction webcams.
