The New NY Bridge project team is celebrating the end of a highly productive year with the publication of its winter 2016 magazine, available now. The issue highlights the project’s latest construction activities, including the completion of the lion’s share of substructure work, the placement of more than a mile of enormous steel-blue girder assemblies and the installation of hundreds of concrete road deck panels.
In addition to the online version, free paper copies are available in the project’s outreach centers located at 2 North Broadway in Tarrytown and 142 Main Street in Nyack. The outreach centers are open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.
As 2015 concludes, the project team looks forward to another year of remarkable progress on the twin-span replacement of the original Tappan Zee Bridge, including the completion of the iconic main span towers.
