Tappan Zee Constructors, LLC (TZC) is preparing the New NY Bridge Project site for the severe winter weather heading our way. The safety of our employees and the traveling public is our top priority. All field operations are suspended today, Monday Jan. 26 through Wednesday, Jan. 28 with limited crews remaining on site to secure equipment and materials. These limited crews will operate as long as safe conditions allow them to do so. Crews are on the river currently positioning and securing equipment in preparation for the storm which is slated to arrive later today.
The overnight lane closures of the southbound New York State Thruway (I-87/I-287) originally scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 27 and Wednesday, Jan. 28 also have been postponed due to weather conditions.
