Swimmers raced across the finish line at Lymphoma & Leukemia Society’s annual event, held on July 27, 2014.

Tappan Zee Constructors, LLC (TZC) was proud to be a presenting sponsor at the Lymphoma & Leukemia Society’s (LLS) 23rd annual Hudson River Swim for Life event on Sunday, July 27 The annual swim allows the community to make a positive impact while enjoying the natural beauty of the Hudson River.

Participants raised funds for blood cancer research locally and around the world, with TZC donating $50,000 toward the cause. Volunteer swimmers from the New NY Bridge project team, including Project Director Peter Sanderson and Special Advisor to the Governor Brian Conybeare, were proud to participate in the event.

The Hudson River Swim for Life was a non-competitive one- mile swim along the shores of Kingsland Point Park in Sleepy Hollow. Swimmers conquered the river as kayakers and boaters provided safety assistance and support. For the past 23 years, Swim for Life has simultaneously promoted swimming as a lifelong form of fitness and raised funds for the ongoing research of blood cancers.
